The Rose City beat a town in the Volunteer State.

 Tyler beat Greenville, Tennessee for the right to continue to host the Junior College World Series.

That annual event has been played at Mike Carter Field since 2007.

Tyler will keep hosting the Series through 2015.

National officials said they liked the tradition of success that the JUCO World Series has enjoyed in Tyler.
