The Tyler Police Department is investigating a robbery that took place yesterday, shortly before 7 PM. The victim said it took place at the Valero station on Loop 323 and W. Front St. The victim was pumping gas when she was approached by a black female.

The suspect asked the victim for a ride and the victim consented. In the process of driving the suspect to her requested location the suspect announced she had a gun and demanded money. She directed the driver to pull into an ATM and to retrieve money.

The victim stopped her vehicle and exited her car, she was not injured and the suspect never produced a firearm.

The suspect is described as a black female approximately 30 years old. She is around 5’3” tall and weighs approximately 130 pounds. She has short, ear length hair. The victim could only remember the suspect was wearing a white shirt with small designs on it – possibly flower petals.

This case will be forwarded to the Major Crimes Unit for investigation. Anyone with information concerning this case is urged to call (903)531-1000 to provide that information.
