TYLER — Blake Bailey is well-known around East Texas for standing up for people's rights. Now he's asking that you take a stand and put his name onto the 2010 Texas Supreme Court ballot.

After 36 years of practicing personal injury law all over the state of Texas, Blake Bailey announced today his intent to run for place nine on the Texas Supreme Court next November.

Bailey says he recently noticed the Texas Supreme Court had become unbalanced after Governor Rick Perry appointed yet another Republican Justice Eva Guzman to the already all Republican court.

Bailey says he hopes he can bring the much needed change to the court and in return give everyone a fair shot at trial versus big corporations or the insurance companies.

Bailey says this career transition is based on both personal and professional reasons.

Democrats, as evidenced by our current administration, talk about people's rights but work diligently to take them away!

Democrats don't want you to have any individual rights, just collective rights that they define: forget the Constitution!!

In 1995 Blake Bailey took a chance on me and became my mentor. I can honestly say that I would not be professional legal advocate today had it not been for Blake Bailey. He has always fought for the rights of everyday people. He is a man of vision and more importantly he takes action. His experience and insight on the Supreme Court will make Texas an even better place to live.
