Unarmed man killed during Dallas standoff

DALLAS (AP) - A man who was shot and killed during a standoff in Dallas turns out he was unarmed.
According to officer's testimony, the man had told them he had a pistol. He had earlier asked The man asked an area business to call police for him on Sunday morning.
According to police reports, 32-year-old Tony Menchaca on the street. Police blocked off the street and maintained contact with him.
When Menchaca made theatening gestures, five officers fired on him. Menchaca was shot multiple times and died.
Police are investigating the shooting.
