Dimmit County authorities said they found at least six undocumented immigrants that had been held against their will in a trailer and tortured.

Sheriff Marion Boyd says six undocumented workers were held captive for at least a week and scared for their lives.

The trailer where they were held became a torture chamber.

One victim couldn't walk  after they used a stick to beat him in the knees.

Another victim told authorities his kidnappers beat him with a hammer, and they cut his fingers with a box knife."

Sheriff Boyd says a female victim was repeatedly sexually assaulted for four days.

Five suspects are now in custody for aggravated kidnapping and aggravated assault.

The Dimmit County Sheriff's Office is currently looking for a few more suspects who are now on the run.

The victims were taken to an area hospital to be treated for their injuries.

Sad story. Illegals need to be deported, but not tortured or hurt. Same goes for our government.

Man's inhumanity toward Man.
This illegal behavior is engendered by media- mostly so-called conservative right wing outlets, that paint illegal immigrants as less than human, law breakers who deserve to be punished. Because they are considered "less than" some people believe they can take the law into their own hands & carry-out their invented form of "justice."
We are a Christian Nation "under God".
As such we treat all people with dignity.
We are a Nation of laws & need to abide by them.
