'Drive-Thru' Christmas light wonderland
TYLER — It's called "Up In Lights" and chances are you can see it from space!
Ok, maybe not, but you can tell the Bass family has put a lot of effort into their 8th annual mile-long light display on Old Noonday Road in Tyler.
Owner Amy Bass tells KETK they really start getting the place ready in September.
"I'd say we have over a million bulbs over the years! It's taken a while but we've gotten there," Bass said.
The process is pretty simple. You just drive up, pay the $15 entry fee and drive through...oh and don't forget to turn your radio to the station they have set up to get the full effect.
"We have certain sections throughout the park that dance to the music and it is synchronized. There's probably 3 sections throughout the park," Bass said.
Their one-month-a-year business is a Christmas tradition the whole family gets a kick out of.
"Christmas is our favorite time of year, you know and we love to celebrate the birth of Christ," Bass said.
Also, they have partnered with PATH. So if you bring a canned good, you get a few bucks off admission.
