Tyler police officials tell KETK the accident occurred when the driver of an SUV rear-ended another car, sending the SUV rolling several times into a ditch.

Both cars were headed South on Highway 69 North near the Sky Vue Drive-in Theatre.

The driver of the SUV has been identified as 27-year-old Matt Ragan. He was taken to a local hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

The 76-year-old woman in the car received minor injuries.

Police are unsure as to why Ragan ran into the back of the car at this time.

  


Tyler Police are on the scene of a rollover accident in north Tyler.

Officials tell KETK the accident involved one vehicle that rolled several times.

No word yet on how many people were in the vehicles or what injuries may be involved.

KETK has a crew on the scene and will provide more details as they come in.

So thankful that the other person had only minor injuries and I also hope and pray that this young man will be okay and have a thorough speedy recovery. But if he did run into the woman maliciously, hope he has learned from that.

Why is that cool? An accident where people are seriously injured is NOT cool.
