TYLER - We spoke with a cell phone retailer who tell us he believes cell phone only homes will soon become the norm. He also says many of his customers say if it wasn't for bad reception, they would cut out land line phone use entirely.


 

TYLER - A new government study says half of Americans age 25-29 live in households with cell phones but no traditional land line telephones.

This makes a lot of sense. With the unlimited plans that are now available on prepaid phones like Net10, the cost of a cellphone call is no longer a consideration. The convenience of calling the person that you are looking for directly makes cellphones an obvious route.
