Update: Actress Daryl Hannah released from East Texas jail

WINNSBORO, Tx — Update: Daryl Hannah was released Thursday night from the Wood County Jail in Winnsboro after being arrested yesterday for protesting the Keystone XL Pipeline.
Hannah was arrested with a landowner, Eleanor Fairchild, who was charged with criminal tresspass and obstructing a passageway. Fairchild posted bond on Thursday night and was released from jail.
Hannah is charged with criminal trespass for blocking the path of an excavator. She posted a $4,500 bond before being released late Thursday.
A Hollywood star was arrested today by Wood County authorities protesting the Keystone XL pipeline.
According to her publicist Paul Bassis, Daryl Hannah, 51, and an elderly woman were taken away in handcuffs and charged with criminal trespassing.
Bassis tells KETK, Hannah and a woman, Eleanor Fairchild, 78, were taken into custody at a property near the intersection of Hwy. 154 and FM 2869 after standing in front of an excavator and other construction equipment.
The landowner believes the pair of protesters has been taken to the Wood County Sheriff's Office.
A press conference is expected to be arranged sometime soon.
KETK spoke with Eleanor Fairchild back in 2010 regarding the Keystone Pipeline, when she said "I really wish it wouldn't come across here... but if it does come across here it should be built in a way that's as safe as possible."
Bassis tells KETK, Hannah has "always been sympathetic to Texas landowners who oppose the government taking their land for pipeline pathways."
She was arrested back in August of 2011 in front of the White House in protest to the same pipeline.
Hannah's publicist claims Fox News' Sean Hannity will bail her out of jail, after a promise to do so the last time she was a guest on his show.
Bassis says he has been in contact with Hannity, and that they are expecting that he will follow through with his commitment.
She is best know for her roles in Splash, Blade Runner, Roxanne, Wall Street, Steel Magnolias and Kill Bill.

After the Arab Oil Embargo and oil went to $33/Bbl. the environmentalist evaporated. These protestors are simply the stooges of our State department..your task is to determine for what reason. Hint: tar sand oil is similar to Iranian heavy oil.
Mediocre star? She'd still be on top if Hollywood (us) wanted to see actresses after they got a little older. What have you done for the earth or human rights?
..but for the life of me I cannot understand why this woman would accept anything from such a bottom-feeder as hannity! Low-life, fearmongerer, liar, anti-democracy and anti-American slime...don't know the history behind his offer to bail her out, but though I applaud her efforts, I think her accepting anything from him is one of the biggest puzzlements of the day!
PUZZLEMENT ? - Is that like a person who wades in media propaganda but see's themself as informed? You couldn't tread water in the shallow end.
I applaud Ms. Hannah for standing up for what she believes...as a long-time activist, she doesn't just talk the talk, but is willing to do the dirty work for the rest of us who just sit back and do nothing. The pipeline will NOT bring a boon to employment if it is built, nor will much, if any of the oil refined on the coast end up in the US...tankers will load the refined oil and it will be shipped around the world...do your homework, people!! This is not a money maker for this country!
-And what do you know of the transportation fees charged by US, much less the refined product profit? Gees, no wonder this nation has an impossible task of job creation when those who think they know, are simply dumbed-down idiots.

Looks like another mediocre sta is trying desperately to get a producer to notice her. Randy Travis, Lindsay Lohan, and Darryl should get together.
