UPDATE: An 18-Wheeler rollover occurred this morning off Loop 323

UPDATE: Sgt. Michael Burge with Tyler Police reports that the driver of an 18-wheeler with flatbed trailer had been traveling southbound on Loop 323 and was trying to make a left turn onto Old Henderson highway, when he lost control.

A lady riding with the driver was reported to of had minor damages and was taken to ETMC hospital.

The driver was arrested on a class C misdemeanor warrant.

Sgt. Burge advised that all drivers should try to avoid this intersection as cleanup will be occurring throughout the day.  Should traffic go through, he recommends that they do it slowly, do avoid any further injury or damage to other vehicles.

At this time, the outside lane going east onto Old Henderson and the northbound outside turn lane on the Loop is blocked from the accident damage.

Tyler police report that around 3 am this morning, an accident occurred in the 2700 block of Old Henderson and south eastbound Loop 323, where an 18-wheeler carrying a trailer of cars to what appeared to be a dumpsite overturned. In the rollover, the traffic signal light on front and old henderson road was knock down causing more damage to be avoided.

When officers arrived at the scene, only 2-lane traffic was available. They assisted to control traffic until clean-up crew arrived.

There are no reports of injuries at this time.
