UPDATE: Arrest made in connection with shooting of repo man

On May 24th, at 5:17 p.m., officers were dispatched to a shooting in the 1300 Block of East Birdsong Street.
When officers arrived, they found 22-year-old Joseph Castillo shot in the arm. Another employee had been injured from shattered glass when a bullet struck the wrecker’s window.
Both victims were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The two victims were attempting to repossess the suspect’s car. Police searched the area and located a man fitting the suspect’s description. The suspect was later identified as 26-year-old William Walton, of Longview.
Walton was arrested for two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Lisa Cross, a worker for East Texas Auto Recovery, tells KETK two repo men showed up around 5:00 p.m. to repo the car on East Birdsong in South Longview.
Cross said when the men were trying to take the car that's when the owner allegedly shot at the workers.
One of the workers was outside of the tow truck at the time and took off on foot, while the driver drove away.
Cross tells KETK the driver was shot in the arm and the other worker was injured by broken glass.
Both were taken to a local hospital and Cross says their injuries are not life threatening.
A KETK photographer at the scene says police had a person in the back of a squad car and left the scene with the unknown person shortly after 8:00 p.m.
No word on the person connection to the shooting.

Longview Police say, a repo man went to confiscate a vehicle and the owner wasn't having it.
So, they say, the owner shot the repo man.
The victim was taken to a local hospital.
No arrests have been made.
