UPDATE: Authorities work to identify man killed in Lindale pedestrian accident

Lindale, Texas (KETK) — UPDATE (Friday, 9:45 am): Lindale Police tell KETK that they are still working to identify the man who was killed in Thursday night's pedestrian accident on Hwy. 69. Once identified, family will be notified.
KETK will continued to update this story as we learn more.
UPDATE (Thursday): Lindale Poilce tell KETK, one man was killed this evening after trying to cross US Highway 69.
It happened around 7:45 P.M. in front of the Burger King.
Witensses tell KETK, several vehicles narrowly missed the man before he was struck by an SUV and sent flying about 50 feet from the scene.
Police have not released the man's name until next of kin has been notified.
The driver of the SUV will not be issued a citation.
ORIGINAL STORY (Thursday, 8:21 pm): KETK has confirmed that one person has been hit by a vehicle in Lindale, near the intersection of Interstate 20 and Mineola Highway.
A KETK crew on the scene reports that one person is dead, however officials have not been able to confirm that information.
