Crews have put the fire out. It appears that it started after a fire in which a landowner was burning brush got out of control.

Chapel Hill and Arp fire crews are fighting a grass fire at 13716 Phoenix Drive in Smith County. The fire covers about a half-acre, and is close to a home nearby.

Arp is sending a tanker to the scene.
