UPDATE: CVS robber turns himself in

Tyler Police Department received information from Tyler Smith-County CrimeStoppers on the identity of the suspect involved in the CVS Pharmacy Robbery.

Investigators located the suspect who is identified as Jerry Craig Jr, B/M, 01/01/1978, of Tyler.

Craig submitted to a voluntary arrest to investigators and was booked into Smith County Jail.



Previous release:

On 07-03-2010, shortly after 3:30 a.m., Tyler Police responded to the CVS Pharmacy located at 1702 South Broadway Avenue on the report of a robbery. Officers arrived and spoke to employees at the scene. They told officers that an unknown male approached the sales counter and told them he had a gun. He then fled the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of merchandise.

The suspect is described as a tall black male, possibly bald, wearing a white polo-style shirt and black pants. He was last seen heading eastbound on foot.
