Medical officials, along with a family friend, have confirmed that the man involved in this morning's Longview motorcycle wreck has died.'

He has been identified as Les Ferguson, who has been a range master at the East Texas Police Academy since 1990.

ORIGINAL REPORT: A motorcycle vs. SUV wreck is slowing traffic on Highway 31 in Gregg County at the Interstate 20 on-ramp.

Traffic is down to one lane as crews work to clear the scene.

The wreck happened at about 8:00 am on the north side of I-20. 

The driver of the motorcycle was seriously injured and was taken to a Longview hospital. No one in the SUV was injured.
