UPDATE: Father not guilty of child endangerment in co-sleeping death of son

Lufkin, Texas — 4:25 Update: According to the Lufkin Daily News, Mark Clark was just found not guilty of child endangerment in the death of his two month old son.

ORIGINAL STORY: This morning a jury will begin mulling the fate of a Lufkin father accused of child endangerment in the bed-sharing death of his infant son.
In the second day of Mark Clark’s jury trial, both the state and defense rested. Clark’s attorney Bill Agnew waived his right to make an opening statement, allowing his client’s police interview to speak for itself.
The 45-minute interview shows an emotional, but coherent Clark, 33, doing his best to answer a Lufkin Police detective’s questions. As Clark sobbed on the video, his family sitting in the courtroom, sobbed with him.
