UPDATE: All inbound flights to Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport are being held at their origin until 4 p.m. Central Time, according to FlightAware.com.

UPDATE: A law enforcement source with knowledge of the investigation into the shooting at Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport told CNN that a man attempted to get through a security checkpoint with a gun and when authorities tried to apprehend him, he killed himself.

UPDATE: A man suffered a gunshot wound Thursday in the pre-screening area of Terminal B at Bush Intercontinental Airport, a spokesman with the Houston, Texas, police department said.

The victim's injuries were life-threatening, Victor Senties said.

CNN affiliate KHOU reported a man walked into the terminal with a miltary-style semi-automatic rifle and fired two shots into the ceiling. When he was confronted by an air marshal, the man pulled out another gun and shot himself, the station said, citing witnesses in the terminal.

The shooting occurred near the ticketing counter in the terminal.

The terminal was closed and passengers were being screened, then moved to another terminal, KHOU reported.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Federal Aviation Administration says flights arriving Thursday afternoon at Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport are delayed by nearly an hour because of a "security" issue, presumably related to the shooting at the airport's Terminal B.

More information please. Was he East Asian like myself? Australia is looking at a new conservative Federal Government, with more conservative politics: lees government funding everywhere, including legal procedures, universities, but much more relaxed scrutiny of our guns laws.
