According to the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Department, the accident happened when a high-pressure water line cap ruptured just before 8:00 am at a site off CR 445 in Nacogdoches County.

One man was pronounced dead at the scene, and two others were taken to the Nacogdoches Medical Center with serious injuries. All three men were employees of Platinum Pressure Pumping, and were part of a high-pressure pumping unit that uses salt water for fracking.

One of the two survivors is in the hospital with serious injuries, while the other man left the hospital on his own earlier Thursday.

I just spoke with Jeremy a couple of weeks ago. He was so proud of his new job and his new job title. How very, very sad.
