LONGVIEW — KETK crews report this fire affects eight to ten acres, and 300 to 400 tires are complicating firefighters' efforts. The fire is contained and emergency workers are trying to keep the fire from crossing a street. There have been no injuries reported, and there is no known cause of the fire at this time.

Longview Fire Department is on the scene of a grass fire near Cherokee St. in Longview.

Officials tell KETK, there are several tires in the area, creating heavy smoke.

It is unclear at this time the size of the fire, but the smoke can be seen from Loop 323.
