UPDATE: Identity released of Tyler man hit by minivan

tyler — The pedestrian accident that occurred last night on Troup Highway just north of Shiloh Rd remains under investigation. The pedestrian that was struck is identified as Gregory Burke, W/M, age 64, of Tyler. Mr. Burke remains in critical condition at a local hospital.
Mr. Burke was crossing the roadway in mid-block heading towards Wal-Mart and was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound on Troup Hwy.

UPDATE: Tyler Police tell KETK, the man hit by a van in Tyler Tuesday evening is still in critical condition as of 9:00 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Tyler Police tell KETK a man in his 60s was hit just after 6:30 pm this evening.
Police say he crossed three lanes of traffic before getting hit in the turning lane by a minivan.
Police say he is in serious condition.
Tyler police have reduced part of Troup Highway to 2 lanes after a pedestrian was hit by a minivan.
The accident happened at around 6:20 p.m. in front of the Walmart on Troup.
One person was taken to the hospital. Their condition is unknown.
