It's a boy! Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, and husband Prince William welcomed their first child on Monday

The baby boy was born at 4:24 p.m., weighing 8 pounds, 6 ounces. A name has not yet been announced for the child, who is now third in line to the throne.

Earlier in the day, the duchess and Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, traveled by car from Kensington Palace to the Lindo Wing at St. Mary's Hospital.

The hospital, next to Paddington Station in London, is where William and his brother Prince Harry were born.

The duchess' mother, Carole Middleton, was expected to be on hand at the hospital.

The baby's name may be announced when the family leaves the hospital, CNN royal correspondent Max Foster reported. Prince William's name was announced a few days after birth, his brother Harry's on departure from hospital.

Some British parents have delayed naming their newborns in recent days in hopes of either copying or avoiding the royal name, he said.

The child's title will be His or Her Royal Highness Prince or Princess (the baby's name) of Cambridge, St. James's Palace said this month.

“Both my wife and I are overjoyed at the arrival of my first grandchild. It is an incredibly special moment for William and Catherine and we are so thrilled for them on the birth of their baby boy," said Charles, Prince of Wales. "Grandparenthood is a unique moment in anyone’s life, as countless kind people have told me in recent months, so I am enormously proud and happy to be a grandfather for the first time and we are eagerly looking forward to seeing the baby in the near future.”

The Royal Family released a statement saying, "The Queen and Prince Philip are delighted at the news of the birth of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's baby."

The best thing that ever happened for me was that my family was persecuted in Ireland and Scotland. It was so bad they came to America. Now I'm free from the English monarchy, and glad of it. I don't care what happens to those inbred royals. I don't care about any aspect of their lives, including the new heir.

This homophobic fails to see the enthusiasm media has for the politically incorrect non-interracial offspring of the racist Royal Family. By now indoctrination television should have at least lowered the British to accept a Queen Honey boo-boo.
