8:15 A.M. UPDATE Smith County Fire Marshals have arrived on scene and say there are no flames in the building. There was just some smoke, which they say may have been caused by a heater.

TYLER - Smith County Fire Marshals confirm they did receive a report of a possible structure fire at UT Health Science Center on Highway 271 this morning. The fire was reported in the biomedical research center.

Fire officials are not on scene yet, and cannot yet confirm if a fire is actually in progress at this time.
