UPDATE: Kilgore man killed in Monday's I-20 wreck
Harrison County — A 60-year-old Kilgore man was killed and a Longview man injured in a chain reaction of crashes that left westbound Interstate 20 blocked for nearly 12 hours Monday.
Randy Arthur Bradley, 60, of Kilgore was pronounced dead at 3:04 a.m. Monday at the scene by Justice of the Peace Mike Smith, the Texas Department of Public Safety said in a report issued Monday evening.
The driver of a pickup truck was killed in a pileup with two semi-tractor trucks early Monday on Interstate 20 in Harrison County.
The westbound lanes of I-20 are shut down near mile marker 599 at East Loop 281 as emergency and cleanup crews work the crash. Westbound traffic is being diverted at Exit 604. Eastbound traffic is reduced to one lane to allow for emergency vehicle traffic.
According to Harrison County Sheriff’s Office dispatch, one of the trucks was carrying chemicals and crews are working to contain a spill. The other truck was hauling automobiles. The crash was reported at 2:25 a.m.
