Lufkin — Lufkin Crimestoppers have released more information in last week's vandalism of multiple vehicles at Al Meyer Ford.
On June 19, employees of the dealership, located in the 800 block of North Medford Drive in Lufkin, arrived at work to find that numerous vehicles had been vandalized.
The actor or actors in this crime caused extensive damage to multiple vehicles. Based upon the initial investigation, it appears that vandalism, not burglary, was their intent. The damage caused includes smashed windows, broken side view mirrors, punctured tires, and scratched paint. The actor(s) inscribed the hood of one vehicle with "[expletive] Ford".
The cost of the damage to the vehicles, which belong to the dealership and its customers, totals tens of thousands of dollars.
Evidence at the scene suggests that someone involved in the crime injured him or herself and likely sustained a bleeding injury to their hand or arm. The evidence collected at the scene, including blood samples, will allow investigators to link the criminal(s) to their crime but the investigators need your help to identify them.
