JACKSONVILLE — Jacksonville Police say two vehicles were involved in the accident.

Hwy. 79 was blocked briefly while officials cleared the scene.

Traffic is moving freely now.

One person was taken to the hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.

Jacksonville Police are just arriving on scene of a major traffic accident on Hwy. 79 in Jacksonville.

Officials tell KETK, it is at the intersection of Hwy. 79 and Phillips.

Witnesses say there are several ambulances on scene.
