Longview — Our news partners KTBB report, the man killed in the fire at Pine Meadows RV Park is 58 year old Richard Andrew Hillman.

The report also lists a lit cigarette as the cause of the fire.

Gregg County Fire Marshal David Kidder confirms with KETK that  a camper trailer fire this morning on FM 2087 claimed the life of one man.

Elderville volunteer fire department responded to the fire at Pine Meadows RV park after recieving a 9-11 call around 5:18 Saturday morning.

Officials say when crews arrived on scene, a small camper trailer was engulfed in flames.

According to officials, the man who was killed in the blaze was a white male in his fifties.

His name has not yet been released.

The fire reportedly spread to an adjacent mobile home but no one was home in that building.
No other injuries were reported from this fire.
