SMITH COUNTY — Just before noon on Wednesday, two vehicles were involved in a wreck at a high rate of speed on Highway 64 East at County Road 294, or Old Henderson Highway, in Smith County.

The Arp Fire Department and DPS responded to this wreck. Despite initial reports from Smith County that the wreck was a head-on collision, the wreck happened when one vehicle slammed into the back of another, causing signifiant damage to both vehicles.

No serious injuries were reported.
