UPDATE 10:03 P.M.

Hunter Ballew has been found and returned home.

He was found on I-20 approximately 1 mile from his residence. He was located at 9:56 PM by a family member who was assisting in the search.

Harrison County Deputies, Bossier City Fire Department, K-9 bloodhounds, and Shreveport Louisiana Search and Rescue K-9 teams are searching for an autistic special needs child that has wandered from his home in the 400 block of Roosevelt Taylor Road in Harrison County.

Hunter Ballew, 15, was last seen by his mother at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 23, 2013.

Hunter is believed to have wandered into a heavily wooded area that surrounds the home. Due to close proximity to I-20 and Roosevelt Taylor Road. It is possible he may have become disoriented in the wooded area or may have wandered to I-20 where someone may have seen him on the service road.

Hunter is a white male, 100 pounds, 5'9", he has hazel eyes, a shaved head, and has pronounced protruding chest and his ears protrude as well.

Hunter also walks on his tip-toes and has the mental capacity of an eight to ten year old. Hunter was last seen wearing a sleeveless undershirt, blue jeans, and tennis shoes.

He is not on medication and it is believed he has not eaten or had anything to drink since he was seen.

If anyone has any information or has seen him they are asked to call Harrison County Sheriff's Office immediately at 903-923-4000 or their local Police, Fire, or Sheriff's Office.
