UPDATE: Mother and infant hit while crossing the street in Tyler

Tyler, Texas (KETK) — Tyler Police were called to an accident involving a pedestrian Saturday night.
It happened around 8:22 p.m. in the 5800 block of Old Bullard Road.
On arrival, officers found Aubrey Hettinger, 20, and her two week old infant lying in the street.
Witnesses stated that they saw the two crossing Old Bullard westbound when they were hit by a black car driving southbound.
Hettinger and her baby were crossing in an area of Old Bullard that does not have a pedestrian crosswalk.
Both Hettinger and the infant were taken to local hospitals. The infant was later taken to a hospital in Dallas and her current condition is unknown. Hettinger is in critical condition at this time.
The driver of the car has been identified as Angela Minick, 40. She did not have any injuries in the accident and there was no indication of alcohol use by either person.
Tyler Police are still investigating this incident at this time.
