A Juvenile Detention Services official confirms Nate Anderson, the East Texas teen accused of shooting his sister Amanda Anderson, will be tried as an adult.

Anderson is currently being transferred to the Smith County Jail.

His bond is set at $1 million.

Nate Anderson, the East Texas teen, accused of shooting and killing his sister Amanda Anderson, back in September at their parent's Chapel Hill house, had another hearing.

Monday, he was back in court at the Smith County Juvenile Attention center for a routine hearing, where lawyers told Judge Floyd Getz, Anderson has been a model detainee.

Judge Getz ordered Anderson to remain in custody and set another routine hearing for April the 25th.

The hearing, that will determine whether Anderson will be tried as an adult, is pushed back to May the 9th.
