UPDATE: Officials identify two killed in Alba wreck, two taken to hospital

WOOD COUNTY — As of 8:30 Tuesday night, Hospital officials tell KETK, Shoffstall has been upgraded to serious condition.
Miller remains in critical condition.
Further investigation is as follows: Driver of the Honda passenger car has been identified as 69 year old Margaret Miller of Sherman; who was airlifted to ETMC – Tyler in critical condition.
The pickup truck was identified as a Ford in error. It was a Dodge pickup. The driver has been identified as 38 year old Michael West of Alba. Died on scene.
The driver of the Toyota has been identified as 74 year old Angela Ann Shoffstall of Fairview, TX; who was airlifted to ETMC- Tyler in critical condition. There was a passenger in her vehicle who was ejected during impact. The passenger has been identified as Suzan Fincher, 74 years old of Sherman, TX; who died on scene.
Froom Wood County DPS
Highway Patrol Troopers are currently working a three vehicle fatality crash located on US 69 in Wood County just south of the city of Alba.
The crash was reported at approximately 9:51 am today. Preliminary investigation shows that a Honda passenger car was traveling North bound on US 69 when it slowed to make a left turn into a rest area. While the vehicle waited for traffic to clear from the southbound lanes, it was struck from behind by a Ford pickup truck.
The impact sent the Honda into the oncoming southbound traffic where it was struck broadside by a Toyota Camry. The drivers of the Toyota Camry and Ford pickup truck were killed; the driver of the Honda is reported in critical condition and was airlifted to ETMC – Tyler.
Identification of the drivers involved is not immediately available and next of kin has not been notified.
Preliminary investigation shows that the drivers were the only occupants of the vehicles involved.

KETK has confirmed a major accident on Hwy 69 north, just outside the Alba Golden schools.
According to Alba police, traffic is blocked in both directions.
Officials with the Mineola Police Department say there are 4 vehicles involved.
The Longview News-Journal reports that a landing zone has been set up on the roadway for helicopters.
No word yet on what injuries might be involved.
