Harrison County Sheriff's Department have identified the victim as 35 year old Andrew Mayfield of Beckville.

 


A spokesman for the Texas Department of Public Safety confirms one person has died in a wreck involving two semis on Interstate 20 near Marshall Thursday.

Officials say the wreck happened  when one 18-wheeler hit the back end of another, and in the process, damaged one of the support columns.

Eastbound lanes on I-20 were closed and will remain so until the bridge can be repaired.

TxDOT expects the project to take several weeks.


A morning wreck has closed eastbound lanes of Interstate 20 in Harrison County.

According to the Texarkana Department of Public Safety office, the wreck happened near the 620 mile marker near FM 31 west of Marshall.

There is a possible fatality.

Morning drivers should find an alternate route.
