UPDATE: Police identify man killed in Longview motorcycle accident

LONGVIEW — On January 3, 2012 at 2:33 a.m. Officers responded to an Accident with Injuries in the 6100 Block of Tenneryville Road. When Officers arrived they observed a white male lying on the ground under a motorcycle. Officers determined the rider of the motorcycle failed to negotiate the curve, left the roadway, and flipped several times before coming to rest in a wooded area. The victim was identified as 23 year-old Patrick Alexander Ramey II, of Longview.

A 22-year-old man died early this morning in a one-vehicle motorcycle wreck in Longview.
According to Justice of the Peace B.H. Jameson, the motorcyclist was driving east on Tenneryville Road near Lafamo Road at about 2:30 a.m. when he lost control at a curve and hit a tree.
Jameson pronounced him dead on the scene at 3:30 a.m.
The man's name has not been released.
