UPDATE: Pursuit underway in Smith County

Smith County, TX (KETK) — UPDATE (4:57pm): KETK crews on scene report that the man who was in custody has been released.
We are working to get more information.
UPDATE (4:35pm): A man is in now in custody. Details are still limited. We will update as soon as we know more.
UPDATE (4:09pm): Smith County authorities are searching streets in the area of Negem Rd. for the suspect.
The vehicle on Negem Rd. is empty, and officials believe the person is in the vicinity of the abandoned truck.
However, deputies on scene tell us that another vehicle matching the description has been pulled over on Dixie Dr. and Greenbriar Rd. The people in that vehicle are being questioned.
It is still unclear why officials are pursuing the person.
ORIGINAL STORY: Smith County authorities are looking for at least one person near Hwy. 31 just west of Tyler.
It is unclear at this time how the pursuit began.
Officials are searching the area along Negem Rd. north of Hwy. 31 West, after finding the suspect's vehicle abandoned on the side of the road.
The vehicle is described as a white Ford F-150.
We have been told by authorities on scene that the suspect is now on foot.
KETK has a crew on scene and will provide additional information as soon as it becomes available to us.
