UPDATE: Road now clear after head-on collision on Hwy. 64

SMITH COUNTY — Officials tell KETK crews on the scene, that driver heading eastbound on Hwy. 64 had his vision blocked by the sun and veered into oncoming traffic.
The driver hit another car head-on.
There was one person in each vehicle. Both were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The road was blocked while officials cleared the scene, but traffic is now moving freely.
Officials tell KETK, the wreck is about one mile east of Chapel Hill High School on Hwy. 64, near the crossroad of CR 292 (also known as Yancy Lane).
KETK has a crew en route and will provide more information as it becomes available.
Smith County DPS officials tell KETK, Eastbound traffic on Hwy. 64 is blocked due to a wreck near Tyler.
A specific location was not immediately available.
