TYLER — Tyler police officials say video from the semi revealed the woman driving the car failed to yield the right of away.
The woman will be cited for failing to yield the right of way.
Officials say the driver of the car, 25-year-old Kaelyn Alexander, was turning left from Loop 323 onto Kinsey when the accident occurred.
The driver of the semi ran the red light and hit Alexander's car. She was taken to a local hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries.
Eastbound lanes were temporarily reduced to one lane while emergency crews cleared the scene.
The driver of the semi was cited for running a red light.
Shortly before noon, a 2-vehicle accident on Loop 323 sent one person to the hospital and is currently slowing traffic.
Tyler police officials say a semi struck the passenger side of a car, sending 1 woman to a local hospital.
Officials have reduced the eastbound traffic to one lane.
