Neighbors and relatives 'distraught' over tragedy

Officials with the Tyler Police Department tell KETK the toddler involved in Thursday night's drowning, Noah Weisberg, is believed to be in stable condition in a Dallas hospital.

Authorities say that was his condition as of late Thursday night/early Friday morning, but they are expecting another update soon and will provide KETK with the details once they hear more.

Emergency Personnel Respond to Near Drowning of Child

Tyler Police, Fire and EMS responded to 628 S. Kennedy around 4:47 p.m. on a report of a two year-old boy, who was discovered floating in an above ground pool located in the backyard.

Family members told police that they were in the process of grilling outside. They were unaware that Noah Weisberg, W/M, had got out into the backyard and into the pool. The grandfather who owns the residence observed his grandson floating in the pool and immediately pulled him out. It’s unknown on the amount of time that Noah was in the pool when he was discovered.

Family members started CPR on the child until emergency personnel arrived on the scene and took over. The child was transported to East Texas Medical Center Hospital and was flown to Children’s Hospital in Dallas.

His mother is employed by the Tyler Police Department as a Dispatcher. She lives at the residence with her parents and her two children.

An update of the condition of Noah will be made available as soon as released by Medical Staff in Dallas.
