Tyler — A Tyler police officer was injured while conducting a traffic stop, according to Tyler Police.

Late Wednesday night, Officer TJ Goodpasture had a vehicle stopped along Highway 110 South (Troup Highway) when a juvenile driver driving a VW southbound on 110 drove up on the scene.

The juvenile driver swerved around the first patrol car, then swerved back into the lane, striking the second patrol car.

Off. Goodpasture was taken to the hospital with minor injuries and was released from the hospital early this morning.

DPS is investigating the wreck.
