UPDATE: Tyler teacher battles breast cancer; students support her fight

TYLER-- A women's health site says one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime.  Today, Tyler firefighters surprised one of those women who is fighting for her family and her students. 

Sonya Tatum teaches at Stewart Middle School.  Firefighters surprised her today with roses and took her on a ride in a caravan of pink fire trucks.  The trucks are signed by thousands of people who have been affected by cancer. 

Ms. Tatum says, as a single mom, she is battling hard against the cancer for her sons.  As Ms. Tatum's students and family stand by her, she says she feels truly blessed.
