UPDATE: Victim identified, suspects arrested in Tyler weekend aggravated robbery

On Monday, November 14, 2011 Tyler Investigators developed information leading to the arrest of three suspects responsible for the Aggravated Robbery of Roberto Lara Barroso, H/M, 06/22/1983, of Tyler.

The three suspects arrested are identified as Patrick R. Warthsaw, B/M, 03/19/1988, of Tyler,  Bobby Kim Green, B/M, 10/11/1985, of Tyler and Brittany Lynn Gilpin, W/F, 03/13/1988, of Tyler. 

All three suspects were charged with Aggravated Robbery, a 1st degree Felony.  Judge Kennedy set bond at $500,000.00 on each suspect. Warthsaw and Green were also charged with Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, 1st degree Felony.  Judge Rogers set bond at $500,000.00 on each suspect. 

All three suspects have been booked into Smith County Jail.

Investigators recovered the victim’s stolen vehicle from the William Booth Apartments on Golden Road, where the suspects had left it.

Barroso remains in a local Hospital in stable condition recovering from his injuries.

UPDATE:  Tyler Police tell KETK that the vehicle is a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the licencese plate number CY6W864.

On 11-13-2011 at approximately 4:18 am, Tyler PD dispatch received a suspicious person call stating that a male subject was sleeping at the car wash located at 1820 W. Gentry.  When officers arrived on scene, they discovered a 28 year old hispanic male lying on the ground in one of the wash stalls.  The hispanic male was in and out of conciseness and was badly injured.  During the investigation, an investigator with the Major Crimes Unit learned that the victim had been beaten and robbed by two black males and one white female.  After the robbery, the suspects in this case left the scene in the victims gray 1996 Jeep Cherokee Laredo bearing Texas license plate number P37VFB.  The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Anyone with information about the suspects involved in this crime are urged to contact the Tyler Police Department, at 903-531-1000, or Crimestoppers, at 903-597-CUFF (903-597-2833).  Crimestoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges filed against the suspects in this case, or any, felony case.
