A woman is dead following a late night wreck caused by a intoxicated driver, according to Tyler Police.

The wreck happened in the 9100 block of Paluxy near the fire station just before 9:30 Wednesday night. Two vehicles were involved.

The driver of one vehicle, Tara Dawn Smith, 36, (pictured below) had to be pulled from her crushed vehicle using the jaws of life. She was rushed into surgery at a Tyler hospital, but died on the operating table.

ive known dallas my whole life. im not family so my opinion isn't biased cuz we r family. dallas ia an amazing person with a big heart. he was lost and would never intentionally hurt somebody for any reason. all u haters should think before u speak and don't judge til u have kived there lives. and one more thing....to all those people who say he supposedly sold to kids in the neighborhood...all that means is that this could have been any of them. they r all addicted.

to the Smith family, Im so very sorry for your loss!!! please let me know if there is Anything that You need... that I can Help with!!!!!! I know you all need Tara, and I wish so bad that I could get her back for YOU!!!! I do not know how any of us will get through this , but Please just let me know if there is Any way for me to Help!!! may GOD be with You!!!! Im so SORRY!!!!!!

Dallas is my nephew... he is a good kid who would NEVER hurt any one!!! im sure he will pay!!! and as far as the " someonewhoknows"....You do NOT know him at All !!! IM his aunt and I know him!!!! He was not ever a drug dealer in tyler!!! He was just a young man trying to fit in!!!!! He has a great heart and YOU do not know HIM!!! so HUSH!!! This is a terrible thing and I wish so bad that I could change what has happend and so does Dallas!!!! He hurts!!! as well I know that Ms.Smiths family is!!

cut the kid some slack everyone makes mistakes im sorry for the family this happened to and your right it should have never happened but if this women is as sweet as you all say then she is in a way better place than east Texas. All deserve a second chance even u old man, u must have never been a kid, or your a judgmental prick. Either way this is his chance to find God, and one day when we all die i promise if he does find God they will both be greeting him at the gates of heaven, God and Tara!

Well I blame Tyler Police Department for this senseless accident. This fine young man here is the same young man who sold drugs to so many kids in our community and hooked them on them. I personally called Tyler P.D. talked to a detective and nothing was done so this could have all been avoided if they had stopped him then. I have no sympathy for him I feel for the victims husband and children. He should pay to the max...I hope our justice system does not fail again...

I knew Tara, she was a very sweet wonderful young lady. She was also an amazing wife and mother. The fact that people hear in the news everyday about people being hurt or killed by drunk drivers and still choose to drink and then drive afterwards angers me. I am sure this kid feels remorse but that does not change the fact that he chose to drive instead of trying to find a ride. He has destroyed many families by his decision. I pray that one day people will wake up and stop drinking and driving.

I feel such sorrow for the women who lost the chance to see her children grow up but being a mom I also feel such sorrow for the parents of this young man. May God have mercy on both and may we one day realize that apart from God''s grace we too could fall to such a depth as this. Praying for both families and desperately hoping we never have to again!

TY

This cities that are voting for the right to sell Alcohol are wrong, does all that so called revenue bring back the lives of innocent victims???? Drinking is wrong, it is a drug and it kills and sadly its not the one who has done the drinking that gets hurt, its the innocent people who die for someone else's stupidity, if Alcohol was not so readily available, maybe less people would get hurt. May God be with this ladies family in this time of tragedy, and may this person pay for his mistake.

Dallas Youmans was a good person in his heart. He never in his lifetime would dream of anything like this ever happening. This is a tragedy, and also a huge loss for Tara's side of the family. Dallas is a young man, and will learn from this. I promise you, he never would intend for a soul to be harmed. Everyone makes mistakes, he unfortunately mad a very large one at a young age. Please pray for each family as they go throught these hard times.

You will be greatly missed Tara, may God be with this family.

She was a sweet lady and will be missed greatly.

Put this SOB in jail for life!

and throw away the key ! no appeals !

amen... especially in this situation.. This fine young man is a knows dope dealer in East Texas Tyler p.d. one more time let us down and did nothing to stop this young man. You could tell this kid nothing he did not listen he was a wanna be..I hope our system does not fail again.

you KNOW NOTHING!!!!! the rest of us need not listen to this person... I know who You are and YOU are a drama Queen!!!1 keep your drama in your own family!!! You DO NOT KNOW MINE!!!!!!!
