One woman is dead and another missing after a murder-kidnapping in Coffee City Thursday night.
The shooting took place at 10:35 pm Thursday in Briarwood Bay.
Officials say Jackie Martez Guthrie, 22, shot Chantel Barret, 18, in the back, killing her, then forced his girlfriend -- who is 7 months pregnant with his child -- into Chantel's vehicle, a 2001 silver Crown Victoria with the license plate CKP 512, fleeing the scene.
The Henderson County Sheriff's Department is currently leading the investigation, along with the Texas Rangers and the U.S. Marshal Service.
