A woman was killed in an early morning wreck near Frankston on Friday.

Authorities tell KETK crews on scene that Angela Scott, 41, of La Poynor, was killed when her SUV collided with an 18-wheeler on Hwy. 175, about three miles west of Frankston in Anderson County.

The 18-wheeler was driven by Gregory Dinger, 30, who was driving to Dallas from Lousiana when the crash happened around 7:00 a.m. Dinger was flown to an Athens hospital.

Specifics about the crash are extremely limited, but we do know that the 18-wheeler rolled over on the highway and several emergency crews were called in to assist with the call.

Highway 175 is still partially blocked and traffic moving slowly while crews clear the scene of the wreck.

Sad, she must have been trying to pass and did not make it. May the Lord comfort the family.

I was on my way to work this morning and came across this wreck. It happend about 15 minutes before I got there. I was running about 15 minutes late today. Makes you think doesn't it. I know the family and my heart breaks for the Dad, son and daughter left behind. I will be praying for peace and strength for them.
