GLADEWATER — UPDATE (11:33am): A woman in her 60s died in the Gladewater mobile home fire Monday morning, according to Smith County fire officials.

Her name has not been released.

An early morning fire destroyed a mobile home in Gladewater.

Firefighters with both Winona and Jackson Heights were called to the scene just after 3 AM.

The fire took place in the 16000 block of County Road 3110.

A Justice of the Peace was called out the the scene, but the fire marshal has not been able to confirm that anyone was home at the time of the fire.
