UPDATE: Woman killed in Tyler motorcycle wreck

UPDATE: The driver of the motorcyle in the accident at Grande and Sutherland in Tyler late Friday afternoon has died from her injurie.

Tyler Police have identified the driver as Jessica Gaspard, 36.

Police tell KETK that just before 5:30pm, Gaspard was struck by a pick up truck that was turning left onto Sutherland from Grande.

The driver told police that he did not see the motorcycle.

Gaspard was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. She was taken to a local hospital, but later died.

The driver of the truck did not sustain any injuries in the crash.

No charges have been filed as of Friday evening, but the crash is still under investigation.

ORIGINAL STORY: Chief Johnson of the Tyler Fire Department tells KETK there is a major wreck involving a motorcycle at Grande and Sutherland.

There are injuries, yet the extent is unknown.

KETK will update as information becomes available.

Jessica was on her way home after picking up her 12 year old son from Hubbard Middle School. Her son was also on the motorcycle. He is recuperating at home.
