Upshur County candidate refiles for election
Henson was previously ruled ineligible
Longview — The Longview News Journal is reporting: An Upshur County constable candidate, whose application was previously deemed ineligible, was the lone person to file for the upcoming Republican Party Primary in the second round of filing that has ended.
Wayne Henson Jr. has re-filed for Pct. 4 constable. He faces incumbent Pct. 4 Constable Phillip Hill and opponent Dewayne LaGrone in the May 29 primary.
Henson had filedfor the position during the first filing period, but he put down a Pct. 2 address as his permanent residence on his candidate application, Chairman Ken Ambrose said in February.
