TYLER - The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management announced Monday that Noble Energy Inc. could continue drilling on its Santiago well in the Gulf of Mexico. This comes after the price of oil and gas is at an all time high. A barrel of oil increased last week to more than $100 dollars and gas is the most expensive it's been in two and a half years. Nobel Energy Inc., a Houston based offshore drilling company, will be the first to begin drilling again since the moratorium was lifted in October and after the April 2010 Deepwater Horizon BP spill.
