Longview, TX — For the first time Longview will be hosting the US National Hot Air Balloon championship with the winner and runner up heading to the world finals later this year.

50 pilots from around the world will be competing Tuesday through Friday for the chance to head to nationals.

The US championship will also coincide with the annual Great Texas Balloon Race which kicks off this Friday.
