The number of twin births in the US has been on the rise for past three decades.

About one in every 30 newborns has a twin brother or sister.

A new report from the Centers for Disease Control shows the twin birth rate has risen 76 percent since 1980.

Women are waiting longer to have children and twins are more likely to occur naturally in older mothers, but experts say, assisted reproductive technology and fertility drugs also account for the majority of multiples.
