UT Tyler students react to possibly getting a football team

Tyler Tx (KETK) - — Administrators the University of Texas at Tyler are looking into starting a football program, trying to fill that passionate collegiate pigskin void in East Texas.
It's going to be up to the students to decide this coming fall, whether or not this will take place.
But if they do decide to go forward with the program, then the wooded area across the street from the campus soccer fields, next to the Cambridge Apartments, could be the site of new football facilities.
If UT Tyler students vote for this next fall, the program could be up and running by 2015.
Along with a football team, this would also bring in a school band and drill team, even more opportunities for students to get involved with the university.
But this will increase costs student's athletics fees, possibly doubling them.
Is this a good move for the school?
